Inserting Images using Documents tab

We will be inserting a logo for our application -

Note:
  • The image must be in GIF or JPEG format and less than 20 KB.
  • If the image is larger than 300 pixels wide by 55 pixels high, then it is scaled to fit.
  • For the best on-screen display, we recommend that you use an image with a transparent background.
  • The Externally Available checkbox must be selected on the document’s properties so that users can view the image.

On Tabs(Click on +) --> Documents tab --> Create New folder --> Name/label --> SaveGo to your folder -->New -->Give document Name -->Upload a Image-->Save

You Must follow the points written in note.

For reducing Image size this link would be the best of all:

(resource) I used this logo in my application.

Right click on the image to save it to your computer.

Create Custom application

Setup -->Apps -->Custom App --> Give app Label(Smart Banking Solutions) -->Insert a Image
 -->Select NO tabs(Only home default) --> Select Visible and Default --> Save

Important points to note -

  1. Check the Visible box to choose the user profiles for which the app is available.
  2. Check the Default box to set the app as that profile’s default app, meaning that new users with the profile see this app the first time they log in. Profiles with limits are excluded from this list.
  3. For a custom Image Insertion, you need to first save that image in document.(Next Blog)
